How to make Double Sided Stockframe Signs
You will need:
Stockframe: Pick your profile
Panel:
Time:
Choose from either 10mm or 19mm foam or 3mm aluminium composite
Approx 1 ½ hours to make
Follow the same method for making a Single Sided and do the same to the back of the board.
But remember...
If you are using the 25mm or 50mm profile on a 10mm board you will need to remove the excess return on
the Stockframe profile at the break off point on the profile before proceeding to cut your mitres.
• 5mm return + 5mm return = 10mm thickness of board to cover
Once the first side has been completed, repeat the same process on the second side, ensuring you keep the
second set of framing in line all of the way around with the first side.
Remember, when cutting your mitred lengths you will require 4 lengths for each side, so your total to cut
will be 8 lengths.
Finally, cut and tape Stockframe edging (capping) strip to each side of the profile to cover where the
stockframe joins for a nicer finish.
This is for aesthetic purposes only and will not affect the sign’s performance should you decide not to use it.
Fitting to a bracket for hanging...
We strongly recommend you fit our corner brackets to the top and bottom of the sign. These have been
designed to add strength to your sign by getting a fixing through the side of the bracket as well as the top.
Hold the brackets in place and pre-drill small holes using the bracket as a template, before finally fitting the
screws.
Tip: Our Mitre Shears are good for cutting the capping strip ends
