WINDOW PREPARATION
Make up the slip solution in a spray bottle. Clean
the glass using a scraper ensuring all contaminants
have been removed. Saturate with slip solution
and squeegee dry. The glass should be clean and
dust free.

FILM HANDLING
Cut the film to the approximate size with a brand new blade for ease of
handling – make sure it is at least 12.5mm (1/2”) larger than the actual
glass on each side.
Tip: To seperate the window film and liner, stick two small pieces of tape
on either side of the product and peel apart.
FILM APPLICATION
Thoroughly wet the glass with slip solution to cling the film in place – ensure the
liner is facing you ready to remove.
As you peel the liner, spray the adhesive surface generously with the slip solution.
Once saturated, flip the film so the adhesive is in contact with the glass.
Keep the film taut and straight; do not allow the film to curl up on itself or to
wrinkle. A crease or wrinkle will not flatten out on application. Position the film by
gently sliding on the wet surface and smoothing out large air bubbles. Ensure all of
the glass area is covered by the film with a slight overlap on all sides.

SQUEEGEE TECHNIQUE
Spray the surface of the film with the slip solution so the squeegee glides
across the surface.
The first stroke should be horizontal across the top of the window, the
next stroke should be downwards from one edge with succeeding strokes
working down and away from the first.
To finish, push the squeegee towards the edges to remove any excess
water.
Tip: If a particle is trapped behind the film, carefully lift the film from the
nearest corner & remove the particle. Before replacing the film, spray
sufficient slip solution to thoroughly wet the glass & film. Replace the film
& re-squeegee.
5
WINDOW FILM TRIMMING
Place a straight edge along the edge of
the window and trim the film using a
sharp blade so there is a gap of approx.
3mm (1/8”) all around. Remove the excess
film. A firm pressure is required to ensure
a strong bond.
