When applying banner material there’s no need to apply tape exactly on the
edge of the material - leave yourself 6mm to allow space for slight wandering
and inevitable sticky banner edges.
What size should my pole pocket be?
Many banners require pole pockets. The size of these pockets will depend on the
diameter of the pole being used to insert.
An easy way to calculate your flat pole pocket size is by using these 4 steps:
1.
Diameter of pole x 3.14 = circumference of your tube
2.
Divide this number by 2
This equals the minimum flat pocket size
Multiply this by 1.5. This is now your
finished flat pocket size. Multiplying by 1.5
will add extra room around the pole.
If your pole pocket is too tight it can cause the
pocket to rip.
